What is Heliflights?
Heliflights provides helicopter sightseeing and aerial photography experiences, offering guests a unique opportunity to view the New York City skyline from above. All flights are conducted by FAA-certified pilots using aircraft maintained in accordance with FAA regulatory standards.
What is the difference between Private Flight for Two and Private Flight for Three?
Both Private Flight for Two and Private Flight for Three are 100% private and exclusive helicopter experiences.
This means no other passengers will ever join your flight — only your group flies.
Private Flight for Two is designed for couples and special moments.
It is ideal for proposals, anniversaries, birthdays, or a romantic experience.
The helicopter is reserved exclusively for two passengers.
Private Flight for Three is perfect for small groups, friends, or families.
Up to three passengers fly together in a fully private helicopter, with no sharing.
What makes Heliflights different from other helicopter tour companies?

When is the best time to fly?
Morning and early afternoon flights offer excellent visibility and lighting, making them ideal for first-time flyers. Sunset and night flights are popular with experienced photographers. Flash photography is not permitted on night flights.
Will there be other guests on my flight?
No, other guests will not be on your flight as all of our packages are private, where you do not share with anyone who is not a part of your group.
What should I bring?
Passengers must bring:

A valid booking voucher or confirmation

A valid government-issued photo ID

Cameras or personal electronic devices, if desired
For doors-off flights, all items must be securely strapped to your person.
Loose articles are not permitted.
Can I bring my cell phone, camera, or GoPro?
Yes. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras and personal electronics.
For doors-off flights, ALL electronics must be physically secured to your person using an approved strap or tether. Unsecured devices are strictly prohibited.
Can I bring a bag on board?
No. Bags, backpacks, purses, and other loose items are not permitted on any flight.
Complimentary lockers are available to store personal belongings prior to boarding.
Are food, alcohol, or weapons allowed?

Consumption of food or alcohol is prohibited on all flights

Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited
Failure to comply may result in denied boarding without refund.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Due to wind conditions, avoid loose clothing.
Footwear Requirements:

Shoes must be securely fastened

Slippers, flip-flops, sandals, or strapless shoes are not permitted on doors-off flights

For doors-off flights, closed-toe, securely fastened footwear is mandatory
Passengers not meeting attire or footwear requirements may be denied boarding without refund.
Are there additional rules for doors-off flights?
Yes. For safety and operational reasons:

All electronics must be secured to your person

No loose articles are allowed

Footwear must be securely fastened
Cold Weather Policy (Doors-Off Flights):
If ground-level “feels-like” temperatures are below 25°F (-4°C) at the time of departure:

Passengers will be required to fly with the doors on, OR
-
Passengers may reschedule their flight to another date and time with no rescheduling fees applied
This determination is based on weather conditions and is made for passenger comfort and safety.
Passengers may extend their feet outside the aircraft ONLY:

At the locations designated on their flight voucher

When expressly instructed by the pilot-in-command
-
When the pilot determines it is safe to do so
The pilot-in-command has final authority over all doors-off flight procedures and configurations.
Why is the date I selected not available?
Our booking system automatically displays the next available dates and times based on aircraft availability, weather considerations, and operational requirements.
What should I do after completing my reservation?
After booking, you will receive a confirmation email. All flight-related communication, updates, and notifications will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
All flights and airport fees are FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.

Changes must be requested at least 48 hours prior to departure

No-shows and late arrivals result in forfeiture of the flight

Refunds are issued only if Trip Protection was purchased and a qualifying cancellation occurs, as determined by Heliflights
Voucher Transfers:
If a guest is unable to redeem their voucher, the voucher may be transferred to another guest, provided:

Heliflights is notified in advance

The full legal names of the replacement passenger(s) are submitted prior to flight
-
All replacement passengers meet age, weight, and safety requirements
Failure to notify Heliflights in advance may result in denied boarding without refund.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Flights are subject to weather and safety conditions.
Heliflights retains sole authority to delay, reschedule, or cancel flights for safety.
If Heliflights cancels a flight:

Guests without Trip Protection may be offered rescheduling

Refunds are provided only if Trip Protection was purchased
Doors-Off Cold Weather Policy:
If ground-level “feels-like” temperatures are below 25°F (-4°C) at the time of departure for a scheduled doors-off flight:

Passengers may be required to fly with the doors on, OR
-
Passengers may reschedule their flight to a different date and time with no rescheduling fees applied
Weather notifications are typically sent via email.
Does flight time start immediately?
Yes. Flight time is measured from takeoff to landing.
Can I book a private photo flight?
Yes. Please contact info@heliflights.us to discuss private flight options.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes.

Doors-On Flights: Minimum age is 5 years, accompanied by a responsible adult

Doors-Off Flights: Minimum age is 12 years, accompanied by a responsible adult
Passengers not meeting age requirements will be denied boarding without refund.
Do you fly year-round?
Yes. Heliflights operates year-round, weather and safety permitting.
Is Heliflights safe?
Heliflights operates with FAA-certified pilots and aircraft maintained in accordance with FAA regulations. All passengers and equipment are secured and inspected prior to flight. The pilot-in-command maintains full operational authority at all times.
How do I redeem my voucher?
During booking, you will be prompted to enter your voucher or promotional code as part of the reservation process.
What time should I arrive for check-in?
Passengers must arrive 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure for check-in, safety briefing, and weight-and-balance procedures.
Late arrivals may result in forfeiture of the flight without refund.
Is there a weight restriction?
Yes. Due to aircraft weight and balance limitations:

Individual passengers over 270 lbs (121 kg) may not be permitted to fly

Total weight between 3 passengers may not exceed 580 lbs (263 kg)
Final determinations are made by Heliflights staff and the pilot-in-command.
How many passengers are on each flight?
Flights may accommodate up to three (3) passengers, subject to total weight and balance limitations.

Health & Safety Notice
Passengers who are feeling ill or otherwise unfit to fly should not arrive for their scheduled flight. Heliflights reserves the right to deny boarding for safety or operational reasons in accordance with company policy.
